Julie Caldarone is the Director of World Languages for Boston Public Schools. In this role, she oversees World Languages programming for 70 schools, 150 teachers, 18,500 students, and 11 languages. She is currently working on a Strategic Plan to expand and deepen access to World Language for all 55,000 students in Boston Public Schools. Julie is a former Boston Public Schools high school Spanish teacher, teacher of English as a second language, teacher of students with moderate disabilities, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and Adjunct Professor at Northeastern University. She is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Foreign Languages Association (MaFLA) and an active member of NECTFL and ACTFL. Prior to joining Boston Public Schools, Julie was a Vice President in the financial services industry in Boston. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Business Administration from Northeastern University, a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University, a Master's Degree in Education and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Simmons College.
