This session will explore the effectiveness of songs, poetry and rhymes in Chinese teaching. Through a brief historical background and a detailed melodic analysis, the presenter will discuss how teachers can use songs as a tool for helping students overcome the tonal challenge of learning Chinese. Additionally, the presenter will share the experience of writing simple and effective rhymes to support chapter specific vocabulary acquisition, pronunciation, and rhythmic patterns. In Mandarin.
