Welcome to the 47th annual MaFLA Fall Conference! This app is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of Tandberg Educational/Sanako: www.sanako-us.com. Thank you!
We all want our students to succeed on tests like A2, DSD I, AP ... you name it! Students tend to do better in reading, listening, and oral communication, but the major challenge for multilingual students is writing. This session presents strategies to consistently and successfully improve writing skills starting with middle school students. Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences with writing in this interactive presentation. In German.
The use of electronic clickers usually happens in the big lecture halls of the natural sciences. However, they can also be effectively used in small foreign language classroom settings. The students love them! This session shows some activities (grammar, text) that can be done with electronic clickers and demonstrates their potentials and limits. Participants will be able to try them out and discuss the pros and cons of using such devices in their classrooms. In German.
Members are invited to meet with officers of the local AATG chapter and the German Cultural Institute of New England to make announcements, discuss upcoming events and strategies for keeping German vibrant in schools and colleges in Massachusetts, air concerns, and network with colleagues. In addition, non-members are welcome to join us to learn about membership benefits. In German.
